Walter Womacka was a German painter, graphic designer and designer of numerous architecture-related works. For twenty years he was director of the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kunsthochschule_Berlin-Wei%C3%9Fensee)

1940-1943 State School of Ceramics in Teplitz-Schönau

1946 master school for creative craft in Brunswick with Bruno Müller-Linow

1949 to the College of Architecture and Fine Arts in Weimar (Hans Hofmann-Lederer, Hermann Kirchberger and Otto Herbig)

1951 to 1952 College of Fine Arts Dresden, among others, Fritz Dähn and Rudolf Bergander

1953 Academy of Art Berlin-Weißensee (assistant)

1963 was promoted head of the painting department (his now famous student was Georg Baselitz)

1965 he was appointed professor

1968 he replaced Fritz Dähn as rector of the college and remained so until 1988

1959 to 1988 he was vice president of the Association of Visual Artists of the DDR

Walter Womacka remains one of the famous painters of the DDR.
